I design and develop websites. Making the internet a nicer-looking place is my mission. Perhaps you've spotted me around town feverishly coding and learning Ruby on Rails.

I began my journey into the web designing world many moons ago, when I was just a young whippersnapper. My curiousity and determination prompted me to learn more about the designs that I found so fascinating. I attended and graduated (in 2011) from a 2 year, full time diploma program at NAIT (Digital Media & IT is the name of the program, to be precise).
Design is my passion. Making the internet a nicer-looking place is my mission. I'm a freelance web designer and animal lover. I've been known to enjoy the outdoors from time to time and volunteer my time with animal rescue organizations in Edmonton. Maybe you've spotted me on the top of a mountain in Jasper, Banff or Kananaskis (I was the one with the green jacket), or perhaps you've spotted me wandering around Edmonton with a camera stuck to my face and a puppy by my side.
Some of my favorite things to do with my free time include enjoying the great outdoors, volunteering my skills, spending a weekend camping in the woods and trying to survive Alberta winters by hitting the slopes when it's above -30C.
My web design and development skills are ever-expanding, but this is what I know: I can design a heck of a website in Illustrator & Photoshop and I can code in XHTML, CSS, HAML, SASS, PHP, Javascript and jQuery. I prefer to stick to the front-end side of things, though. I prefer Sublime Text 2 for coding (and you should, too).
Or send me an email if you prefer. I'm flexible - hello@curlybird.ca.
