I design and develop websites. I also like to take photos. Perhaps you've spotted me with my face glued to a computer or maybe you've seen me wandering around with a camera stuck to my face.

I began my journey into the web designing world many moons ago, when I was just a young whippersnapper. I craved to know more - to learn more about so many of the amazing designs and techniques that I had seen on the web. I have attended and graduated (in 2011) from a 2 year, full time diploma program at NAIT (Digital Media & IT is the name of the program, to be precise).
Design is my passion. Sometimes I even dream about it... I'm a freelance website designer and hobbyist photographer. I've been known to enjoy the outdoors from time to time (a 2 month road trip through the western United States has been known to happen). Maybe you've spotted me on the top of a mountain in Jasper, Banff or Kananaskis (I was the one with the green jacket), or perhaps you've spotted me wandering around Edmonton with a camera stuck to my face and a puppy by my side.
Some of my favorite things to do with my free time include enjoying the great outdoors, shooting heinous amounts of photos, spending a weekend camping in the woods and trying to survive Alberta winters by hitting the slopes when it's above -30C.
My web design and development skills are ever-expanding, but this is what I know: I can design a heck of a website in Illustrator and I can code in XHTML, CSS, HAML, SASS, Textile, PHP, Javascript and jQuery. I prefer to stick to the front-end side of things. I prefer Sublime Text 2 for coding (and you should, too).
Or send me an email if you prefer. I'm flexible - hello@curlybird.ca.
